Ig Wentling makes functional hand built wood fired stoneware pottery. The surfaces and colors are the result of raw, iron-rich clay bodies interacting directly with flame and airborne ash particles.

Wentling appreciates the unintended surfaces and colors of wood firing on the surfaces of his ceramics.

Japanese inspired personal insignia. Stylized self-portrait spelling "IG" when rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise.
