Ig Wentling makes functional hand built wood fired stoneware pottery. The surfaces and colors are the result of raw, iron-rich clay bodies interacting directly with flame and airborne ash particles.

Wentling appreciates the unintended surfaces and colors of wood firing on the surfaces of his ceramics.
