Ethel Youvella was a Hopi-Tewa potter from First Mesa, Arizonz where she created pieces using traditional family techniques.

She was a niece of famous Hopi-Tewa potter Grace Chapella. In the early years she didn’t sign her work. With the added interest of the tourist trade that began in the early years of the 20^th century she began to sign. She used various signatures. In addition to her name, at various times she signed Polacca, AZ, Hopi First Mesa, and Tewa Village.
