BIOGRAPHY

Barbara Stevens is best known for hand-built architectural elements including fire places, wall sculptures, and functional pottery including table ware. Surface techniques used in sculptural work include scraping and unique cement glaze applications to promote cracking and peeling during the firing process.

Stevens was a founding member of the Ann Arbor Clay Gallery, board member of Ann Arbor Art Association and a member of the Michigan Potter’s Guild.
