George M Petersen

Biography to Display: 

BIOGRAPHY 

George M. Petersen is known for stoneware pottery made at Iowa College Pottery between 1924 and 1930. Petersen often glazed his pots with solid bright colors and decorative motifs.  

Petersen replaced faculty member Mary Yancey in the Iowa State College (today Iowa State Universitypottery department and worked under department head Paul E. Cox.
