BIOGRAPHY

Marsha Owen and her husband, Rick Moss, are known for functional, wheel-thrown stoneware and porcelain pottery - plates, teapots and bowls. Most of the throwing is done by Owen while the surface techniques are executed by Moss. Surface techniques include various resist techniques, stamping, sgraffito and the application of a variety of colored slips, stains and underglazes. Owen established Marsha Owen Pottery in 1983 and Rick joined the studio practice later.
