Laurel MacDuffie makes functional pots and sculptures that are high fired in a salt atmosphere. By design, her pots which are made with ergonomic handles are almost too heavy to use easily. She has worked on a series of boxes inspired by chests and trunks.
She works at Cedar Mountain Potters which she shares with her husband, David Orser, also a potter.
