BIOGRAPHY

Annette Lowder is known for wheel-thrown functional stoneware. Lowder frequently dips forms in multiple colors of glaze. Decorative techniques include slip trailing, deep carving, and sgraffito. For Lowder’s Mandala series intricate slip trailing is the primary decorative technique. When imagery appears on work it is drawn from the natural world.

2010-2012 signed as Annette Hatley or Annette Lowder or A. Lowder 2012-2017 signed as Lowder Pottery or "LP" 2017- Present, stamped with small compass with the letters "L" on the upper left, and "P" on the lower right.
