Karen Hagen

Biography to Display: 

BIOGRAPHY

Karen Hagen is known for functional stoneware pottery, as well as cement vessels and sculptures. Hagen’s multimedia cement vessels incorporated natural plant material and textile and were inspired by the texture and appearance of Hawaiian lava rock.

Hagen was the long-time owner of the former Santa Cruz Pottery, Santa-Cruz, California. She then moved to the Big Island of Hawaii, where she continued to work as an artist.
