PRIMARY WORK EXPERIENCE

Studio Potter

 

Perry Haas produces wheel thrown wood fired porcelain functional wares.  His work highlights the unique nature of the wood fired ceramic surface on gestural forms that complement the nature of the wood fired surface.

He worked in both Jingdezhen, China and Korea where he apprenticed with ceramic artist Hun Chung Lee. Haas completed three long-term clay residencies, one at Red Lodge Clay Center, another at Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts, and lastly The Clay Studio of Missoula all in Montana.
