BIOGRAPHY
Caryn Fried and Wayne Reynolds have shared a studio for over 30 years. They produce wheel thrown functional stoneware that is either carved and glazed or decorated with images from nature and then given a clear glaze coat. Their major influence was Marguerite Wildenhain with whom they studied for several summers at Pond Farm and who remained a mentor. Fried and Reynolds married there in 1979.
In 2003 Reynolds/Fried changed their pottery’s name to Valley of the Moon Pottery, after the name of the area where they worked and signed VOM. After a brief period of time they returned to the name North Eagle Pottery.
