PRIMARY WORK EXPERIENCE

1978 Director, Kimball Art Center Park City, Utah.

1980 Potter. Seagrove Stoneware Pottery, Seagrove, North Carolina

 

BIOGRAPHY

David Fernandez is known for wheel thrown pottery. Decorative techniques include carving and glazing.  Fernandez formulates his glazes, clay body, designs, and builds his own kilns. Glaze colors are bright reds, blues, and greens. Fernandez’s forms include dinnerware, large platters, mugs, bowls, and monumental vessel forms.

Fernandez and wife ceramic artist Alexa Modderno share studio space.  Each works independently.
