BIOGRAPHY

Robert Bennet is known for wheel-thrown porcelain functional pottery with crystalline glazes.

Forms are kept simple with smooth symmetrical silhouettes. Crystalline glazes must be fired using a precise firing sequence which is timed to allow the crystal formations to grow within the glaze surface. Bennett’s focus is in creating large, individual “floral” crystals with sharp clean color.

Bennet also designs and fabricates high-fire electric kilns.
