BIOGRAPHY

Ben Waterman is known for functional wood-fired ceramics and mixed media sculpture. He studied ceramics in Japan and in the US. Waterman made functional and sculptural works. His sculpture incorporated clay (both raw and fired), paint, drywall, and wood. In addition to woodfired ceramics, Waterman also fires work by placing them into a bed of coals.
