Sherry Tafoya is known for deeply incised black and redware pottery. She comes from a long line of Tafoya potters working at Santa Clara Pueblo in New Mexico. She is a great-granddaughter of Serafina Tafoya, a granddaughter of Christina Naranjo, and is the daughter of Mida Tafoya.
