PRIMARY WORK EXPERIENCE
—Potter, Plays in Mud, Asheville, NC
Kelsey Schissel produces a broad line of wheel-thrown functional work that includes beer steins, shaving mugs, sake sets, yarn bowls and more typical kitchen wares.
Schissel's decorative techniques include stamping pattern into the leather hard surface of a thrown form. Often the process involves several individual stamp patterns. She has designed and created each of the stamps with motifs drawn from nature.
