Lori Pease makes wall plaques, mosaics, coasters, and books of clay in low-fired earthenware. They are carved and imprinted; at times, stamped and textured by imprinting seashells.

The work is slab built, decorated and colored with layers of underglaze, slips, and glaze. Wood frames and grout are other materials incorporated into the work.

The wall pieces are inspired by antique sailor valentines of New England from the 1800’s. Clay books reference her career at literary publishing house.
