Kyungmin Park is known for porcelain figurative narrative sculpture dealing with unique childhood experiences. Surface techniques include underglaze color application. The glaze is restricted to a clear gloss, with the occasional addition of gold luster on select pieces.

In work completed before 2011 Park made pottery vessel forms, at times monumental for installations, or in smaller scale combined with figural elements.  In this period, Park also made traditional Korean functional pottery forms, covered jars, and serving wares. For the functional based forms, Park uses solid colors, allover patterns or clear glaze over white porcelain.

Park's narrative themes include children's natural mindfulness juxtaposed with regulations of adulthood. Works often appear childlike, with adult facial expressions.
