Jon Pacini is known for his use of and teaching of the use of crystalline glazes. In addition to his studio practice he has also worked as a production potter for large companies. He has also done extensive research on the response of various claybodies in wood firings. Of his work,

Jon Pacini says, "I’ve been in search of a purity of form in my pots for many years. I feel that the glazes have so much going for them that they should speak for themselves without the complications of ruffles and flourishes." [1]
