BIOGRAPHY

Adam MacMillan is known for both thrown and slab built vessel forms. He has raku fired, and worked with stoneware, porcelain, and high fire crystalline glazes. He has focused on high fired fine crystalline glazed porcelain forms.

MacMillan began working at Surfside Ceramics, his family’s pottery studio in the 1990’s.

MacMillan inscribes "MacMillan" directly in the clay in the foot well of each piece, or signs using gold leaf. Some marks may be covered with clear glaze, or may be signed in wax resist and then glazed over in black and fired.
