BIOGRAPHY

Henry Cavanagh is known for ceramic cookie jars, teapots, and salt and pepper shakers cast in the forms of cars, trucks, and diners, often with costumed animal inhabitants.

The original molds are hand formed. The surfaces are glazed, with some metallic overglazes and decals designed and made by Cavanagh.

Cavanagh exhibited his work in the northeast USA in the 1980’s- 2000’s, often alongside his wife, Laura Wilensky, a ceramic artist with her own line of ceramic art.work.
