BIOGRAPHY

Winthrop Byers is a functional potter working in stoneware. His platters, plates, bowls and vases are wheel thrown and simple in form; many are large-scale. Most pieces are sprayed with multiple layers of glaze and high-fired in a reduction atmosphere.
