BIOGRAPHY

Paul Briggs creates functional and non-functional work. His vessels are stoneware, hand-built, using slabs and coils, then fired in an oxidation atmosphere. The majority of his sculptures are ceramic; others are mixed media incorporating felt and plywood as well as fired clay.

Briggs has an extensive background in spiritual leadership, in addition to art education and ceramics.

His inspirational sources include nature and the reinterpretation of classical forms.
