BIOGRAPHY

Susan Balentine is known for a line of production pottery that is wheel-thrown and includes plates, mugs, bowls, goblets and oil lamps.  Decorative techniques include wax resist to produce representations of the plants and flowers found in Western North Carolina. Balentine formulates her glazes and fires her work in a gas kiln.
