BIOGRAPHY

Wanda Lea Austin is known for wheel thrown, functional red earthenware: vases, bowls, platters, pitchers, cups, plates, ashtrays, and jam pots. The brushed images on Austin’s work are motifs taken from the natural world.

Her studies in art and ceramics included courses at the Art Institute of Chicago, Black Mountain College, and Kalamazoo Institute of Art.
