BIOGRAPHY 

Herbert Cohen earned both a BFA and an MFA from Alfred where he took workshops with Marguerite Wildenhain and Bernard Leach. He created both functional ware and sculptures using stoneware. Cohen’s work is frequently embellished with intricate abstract patterns that are carved into the surface. His forms can range from those influenced by Wildenhain to pure mid-century modern.
