BIOGRAPHY 

Karl Christiansen is known for functional stoneware pottery. Christiansen’s pottery is glazed with simple earth-tones. Apart from strictly functional objects, Christiansen also made larger, decorative vessels.  

 While teaching at Luther College, Christiansen established the department of pottery.
